Latest Digital Art Collection; a Little Taste Sept. 2019

As they say on a certain late-night talk show, let me break you off a little piece of what I’ve been dabbling with the past few days.  ‘Had a little brainstorm.  ‘Got lost in a frenzy.

…Some promotional posters.  The first for a new/old SEEBS comedy TV series.  The second for a movie you might have missed.  And, the third–sans most of the typical promotional details–for a cartoon I greatly enjoyed, just given a smaller jump into the future than the Legend of Korra.

…Festive stuuuuuff!  Halloween/Dia de los Muertos is just around the corner.  So, here’s my latest contributions to the festivities.   That is a squirrel in the first and Batman and Catwoman in the second and third ones…in case you couldn’t tell.  My cat and squirrel tails tend to blur together, as I favor crafting shaggy cats (versus short-hair cats).  [I am not sure why I was hung up on a kiss; but I was.  The world could use a bit more loving and less lusting.]

…Just in time for the Asian (Autumn/Harvest) Moon Festival, here’s my lil poke at the story of the moon goddess and the jade rabbit (or the rabbit/goddess in the moon).  Here the goddess and the rabbit, having been up there a while, decide to get together, instead of chasing.

…Another small slice of my simple/complex infatuation with the mysteries of Japan, before next year’s summer Olympics.

…I figure every other group out there has one of these.  So, why not magicians?  I may drum up a stand-up comics one, next.

So, hopefully, this will stick with you as you go about your online journey and bring good word back to me.  If not, then you are not unforgettable.  And, apparently, I am.  😛

Already Ready for Tokyo Summer Olympics 2020

The moment I heard Tokyo was getting the Summer Olympics in 2020 and saw the “trailer” at the end of Rio’s closing ceremony, I started conjuring ideas for promotional material.  [Presents business card to anyone working on the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.]

Here are the first thoughts to cross my creative mind.  [Note:  I am posting this months after I finished these pieces.  I am not sure why I didn’t post sooner.]

The above slideshow was the first piece I imagined, combining the busy city lights with the Japanese rising sun flag and the dawning of a new day of competition, particularly the first day of the Olympics when the torch is lit.  I had a tune playing in my mind, as well, to accompany the animation.

Olympic Feelings/Art, Zelda-inspired

Going with my recent Legend of Zelda anniversary-obsession, here are some Zelda-Olympics fusions.

Happy Day of the Kings/Epiphany

Okay, I know I am a little late.  Heck.  People are already probably taking down their decorations, cleaning up the confetti and packing up the party foods.  But, this was the earliest I could get here to post this.  So…

Today, Jan. 6th, is the day the three wise men, three kings or magi reportedly reached the baby Jesus in Bethlehem. It’s also known as the Epiphany. [In some parts, this is considered the final day of the Christmas season.]

This year is slightly different due to the Summer Olympics in Rio. Here we have three wise guys, dominions, from Rubika, a small, Asian nation not recognized by the Olympic administration. [Don’t bother looking for it on a map, they are already furious no map shows it.]

Bob is hopeful. He has brought his gold, hoping someone will make him a medal from it. Frank is incensed. He always is when something upsets his amusement (like being left off of the list of nations invited to the Olympics). And, Murray is…well, just Murray. He’s always puzzled by his pals, never sure how to feel and lost for direction until guided by yonder star which leads these three from afar to the hosting nation.

Their journey westward begins today, Kings’ Day as some call it. Let us wish them well (while the other three famous guys go see the baby).
