Happy Year of the Earth Pig, 2019/4719

*****

Chinese New Year is just around the corner, again.  February 5th, to be exact.  It’s the year of the Earth (brown or black…or yellow, if the ol’ Voltron cartoons have anything to say about the elements)  Pig.  [I may not be here to celebrate in the moment.  So, once again, I am posting this in advance.]

Like the previous year, this is supposedly a good year for generosity as well as reaping rewards.  Though, the past year was better for investments.  This new year is a time to party and enjoy the fruits of labor before the next year, the Metal Rat, when a new cycle begins and all sorts of new happenings start popping up to change the way you look at life, I have a feeling.  Anyway, this next (moon) year is supposed to be good for just about everyone, including some who fear losing control.

Here are my designs for the Earth Pig year.  Notice all of the other animals are present, and the rat is white (metal) in anticipation of it’s time the following year.

And, I’ll throw in one I made by editing a snippet from an Urusei Yatsura cartoon.  The moment I saw the pig, I immediately thought of the upcoming new year.

Happy Chinese New Year, Fire Rooster 2017/4715

*****

This year, Chinese New Year falls on a Saturday.  And, I may not have another opportunity to post these this week.  So, you get to scrutinize and potentially pass them around a few days early.  Enjoy.

^ Roosters like to be tidy, efficient and productive (even if they tend to be extravagant and work less consistently than their neighbors, especially oxen); so it’s good advice if you don’t want to upset the roosters in your life.  However, this year, they may feel free to party and celebrate who they are.  Their friends may want to watch their wallets/purses (unless being friends with a rooster brings unusually good luck).chinesenewyear2017-firerooster_postcard-ap-2-1j

^ In the west, the moon cycle’s Chinese New Year is veiled by the solar New Year.  Roosters are considered nature’s alarm clocks, signaling the start of a new day.  So, here the fire/sun rooster is rising like a firecracker to signal the new year at daybreak.chinesenewyear2017-4715-firerooster_postcard-ap-2c-1j

^ In the east, Chinese New Year follows the cycle of the moon.  The fire/sun rooster signals the start of a new day/year, shooting past the moon like a firecracker.  Good morning.

Astrology Question, Re: Rooster and Rabbit

*****

Okay, all you astrologically inclined people in WordPress-land.  I need your input.

Let’s say you have a Rabbit year paired with a Rooster year of compatible elements, with an 18 year age difference and the following favorable signs:  Sun, Venus and Mars are all very compatible with my signs.

Is this a favorable match even if Rooster and Rabbit are said to be trouble together?  Or, does the warning remain the same?

Also, if the Rabbit and Rooster are compatible elements and Venus and Mars are a hot match…but her Sun doesn’t sit well with his Sun/Moon…can this relationship still work?

Happy Year of the Wood Sheep, 2015/4713

Happy Chinese New Year

Be nice to your sheep, and they’ll be nice to EWE.  Love and peace abound if EWE nurture them.  This is a year to grow/feed your friendships, relationships and warm feelings all around.
