More Honey Love

*****

Back on my Cutey Honey kick, I composed a side-by-side anime-like image of myself with the lovely Honey Kisaragi from the 1990s OVA mini-series.

This then motivated me to turn a pair of dancing silhouettes into a related image which spawned a variation of old prose.  You know that bit that goes something like…

How do I love thee?  Let me count the ways…

And, here are the varieties of love that came to my mind.

And, I’ll throw in a variation of one just for good measure (because I really like the idea of making a mess with chocolate or mud for some reason).   Note how I worked in Honey’s go-go boots, dress and hairstyle, along with the rose which is used at times as the weapon of Sister Jill.

A quick, off-the-cuff explanation of each image…

Types of love:

@ Starry-Eyed Love: A) When you fall madly infatuated with a celebrity, imagining yourself embracing that person. B) When you see stars (struggle to see) after kissing someone, letting you know this person is someone special (or just a really good kisser). C) When you fall madly in love with someone’s first appearance and lose awareness of your surroundings.

@ Radiant Love: When you see and/or feel a light growing around you and the one(s) you love, filling you with *comforting* warmth.

@ Steamy Love: When intensely interacting with the one(s) you love makes you sweat; when sexual chemistry between lovers singes the skin.

@ Bubbly Love: When you feel like kissing someone and laughing/smiling at the same time; love that makes you undeniably giddy.

@ Messy Love: When you don’t care what happens to your appearance or surroundings while physically expressing your love, literally getting messy in the process.

@ Flowery Love: When you shower the one(s) you love with romantic/affectionate favors and/or gestures, often letting others know about the relationship. [IE Sending someone flowers at their workplace where every coworker and boss can see them.]

@ Smotherly Love: When you hold the one(s) you love prisoner while expressing your love, keeping them (and yourself) from completing daily tasks and interacting with others.

@ Energizing Love: When sharing an intimate moment with someone gives you either a jolt or an abundance of energy, capable of rejuvenating skin, hair, etc; when a kiss gives you that special spark.

@ Group Love: Polygamous love; when you love more than one person at a time and do not want any love interest to feel slighted, dividing your attention to each, adequately.

Happy Dragobete! Saturday, February 24th, 2018

A small contribution of recent inspiration.  Some original art with a splash of humor.  DJ Drago supplying the betes…er, beats.  Your choice of color and design to set the right mood.

Dragobete is a form of Valentine’s Day celebrated especially in Romania on February 24th.  Show the beat of your heart.  Is your love a lock?  Do you add locks to any fencing or other form of wall?

If you celebrate, share your stories in the comment section.

Mama MIA! Are You Hungry for Some Loving?

*****

Although I just posted…debuted a new holiday for single, divorced and/or widowed folks to beat the romantic holiday blues, I still hold a torch for everything romantic, including Valentine’s Day (even if I rarely get to enjoy it).  I find joy in crafting these loving, serious and sometimes funny cards, taking my mind off my status or circumstances.  Hopefully, they continue to spread good vibes among those who find them like leaves falling from my tree.

With that, here is my first wave of ORIGINAL digital art pieces for this year (not my usual cartoon-incorporated images).

This first lot is food and/or drink related.

Next, I have some general/misc. hearts with similar designs and messages.

The Tao of Writingbolt

*****

Every now and then, I get a moment of divine inspiration, a little nudge to create something special.  [Some call it “awen.”]  Today, it pushed me to make something like this.

TheTaoofWritingbolt-the5As_martialartist-configuration-square_ap-2J

These are what I’d say are the five points to my being which have formed over time.  A decade or so ago, they may have been different.  I barely knew astrology before I was twenty-eight.  But, I wanted to craft something that centered and represented me.  It forms a sort of tree or Asian calligraphy character.

ART:  Associated with the heart, the core, the earth.  Like a tree, like earth is the base of certain philosophical images, art is at the root (though I’d prefer to place it at the top, reaching for the sky with no limit for potential.  I relate art to therapy (and occasionally dabble in art therapy as a psychology tool).  It’s nursing for the heart, for the soul.  It’s the life force that fuels/inspires most other actions/expressions/output.  It can be connected to martial arts (and yoga), as well.  Though it takes up the least room in the picture, it’s the biggest component.

AEROBICS:  Associated with the wind/breath (though it burns food and woe up like fire).  I didn’t think much of exercise as a kid.  But, as an adult, I see how it fits into the picture.  It used to be the trials of gym class.  Now, it’s a means of relieving stress and subconsciously improving my general well-being.  It’s the physical that balances the mental, emotional and digestive.  And, sometimes it brings that divine inspiration.  Generally, I am a hiker who likes to go “adventuring,” exploring foreign lands of interest, trusting my gut (even though my compass isn’t the best).  I’m not as interested in touring buildings as I am in ruins and relics found in natural setting.  I have equal passions for forests and beaches (but not much love for pollen, bugs or intense heat/sunshine).

ASTROLOGY:  Associated with the mind, a cloud, the sky/stars.  By far, this is no bigger than aerobics/exercise and Ayurveda/nutrition in my life.  But, it has been a key note in my ceaseless pursuit of philosophy and understanding.  It’s a good icebreaker in social/dating situations.  I’m no expert.  But then, we all are continuous students, in a way.  And, strangely, it has benefited me in tasks of memory and creative projects aplenty.

AYURVEDA:  Associated with fire, the combustible (like food), a source of energy and potential problems if not properly attended/balanced.  It’s the most recent point of the figure, something I came across after reading an article in a magazine while returning home on a flight; I later picked up a book on self-therapy which included a good portion about Ayurvedic medicine and nutrition.  And, while I’m quick to reject and slow to accept new philosophies, this one kinda made sense.  It just slipped into place, partly because it did NOT support the common medicine practices of taking pills for your ills.  It was strangely comforting.  A good fire can keep you warm; and the more I read, the more I felt warm inside.

AWEN:  And, at the center of it all, is what may be behind it all, divine inspiration, a gift from above, a complex puzzle box slowly unfolding or coming together to make greater sense.  [Note how two of the hands seem to be giving each other a “fist bump.”  I thought that was a nice, totally coincidental (at first) touch.]

If anyone has any input or questions about the image, feel free to share.  No need to be nervous.  I’d be willing to help you create your own “tao” image, as well, if interested.

And, as I state at the bottom, I didn’t get a clear understanding of the word “tao” from my dictionaries, but it sounded good.  😀  If you can think of a better term for this concept, I’d be glad to hear it.

Happy Birthday, Chloe Bennet!

*****

When I first saw you, a light struck me from above, from the sky.  When I heard your velvety voice, my heart popped, exploding into a confetti storm of tiny stars.  I had no shield to protect me from the agent of infatuation you are, monkey girl.  I knew, deep down, you had some Aries spark.  Those big, bold yet inviting eyes, those petite rabbit teeth, those brown waves cascading around your glowing face….

Ehem.  What was I saying?

Oh yeah.  Happy birthday!  [And, if you’re not otherwise engaged……call me.]

A pretty face struggling to find her smile.  She will not be forced, camera people!

A stylish beauty who doesn’t need a smile.   [Nor does she need to highlight/bleach her naturally lovely hair.  Though, in the second fashion photo, she looks like she has even lost her spark a bit, even if her hair looks fantastic.]

There’s something odd about this photo (something to do with makeup and/or lighting).  Yet, there’s that look that can stop a raging bull in its tracks.

Happy Birthday, Daisy Ridley!

*****

I don’t want to monkey around and forget to post this notice.  I don’t know where I will be Monday.  So, I am putting these up tonight.  I picked out some of the better photos I could find.  [There were a number of sad fashion choices or forces (outfits possibly forced upon her for frothy magazine tabloids/interviews) through which I filtered.]

She wouldn’t cross my mind if not for Star Wars’ 7th chapter.  But, I anticipate learning more about her in the years to come.  As astrology goes, she and I make a very good match.  And, if she or someone who knows her finds this, I’d gladly take the chance to speak with her.  Ya know, if the opportunity Aries–er, arises.

Possibly my last creative effort for this year’s season of love (and foul moods from the absence or abuse of love).  Enjoy a little fallout between a couple of candy hearts.
