Halloween aka Costume Day Gallery, Back in Chat Cafe

I dug out the old spooks, pumpkins and costumed minxes for the upcoming holiday and put a few “bumper stickers” on display in the Chat Cafe.  Have a look if you are in the mood or in need of some holiday inspiration.

If you find any great festive art you’d like to share, leave word, link or attach it here.  Or, if inspired to make your own, leave word of it being posted in your blog.

Video Game Memories in the Chat Cafe Space

Halloween may be gone, but I am not done with Autumn, yet.  No, I am not in any mood to welcome winter.  But, I am at a loss for what decorations to post until I finally get into the Christmas spirit (which usually takes until mid-December for personal reasons).  So, for now, I am leaving a few colorful leaf trails.

AND, as a sort of gift to myself…if you readers like, you can share it, as well–a fond memorial of video games past.  Every now and then, I like to tap into that youthful side that used to like sitting on the bed or floor with a bowl of cereal and a joystick or controller.  It feels wrong doing it at my age.  But, video games are a drug habit I have yet to fully kick.  I am not crazy about the latest versions and all the war business.  I dislike all the new complexities when video games used to be so simple and enjoyed by two people in the same room with no more than an hour–if that–required.  Yet, despite my stubbornness toward change, I have taken a shine to a few over the years and do make small adjustments to my thinking.  But, I still would pass up all the new to spend an hour with someone playing pinball tanks from the Combat cartridge for my old Atari 2600.  Or, Joust.  Or, the arcade version of Warlords (cuz the Atari 2600 version was just plain awful).

So, be sure to check out the new wallpapers.  I know, they’re not as much fun with the Chat Cafe print tacked on.  But, they is what they is, ye kno’?

Shall we play a game?

Women Blog, and Men ‘Insta-poop’ Elsewhere

Dr Writingbolt’s Social Assessment 3-31-2014

Women blog, and men “insta-poop” elsewhere.  Yes.  It’s a philosophy/theory I’ve been chewing on for some time.  There seems to be a dominance of women attempting to upkeep a daily blog like a cow produces milk.  I keep running into them.  But, the men?  What are they doing?  I find more guys posting links for music videos or maybe sharing some new project they started/finished.  But, daily posts?  Not unless some rare guy is attempting self-therapy online, venting his daily drinking/drug/bipolar journal.

Ablee-ablee.  That’s all, folks.  ‘Simple as that.  Women can’t squeeze enough into their day and need to blog it out.  And, men do simpler things elsewhere.  I know I sure can’t (imagine/manage) a daily blog.  Either my fingers, my brain or even my schedule (with stronger interests and better eyesight elsewhere) won’t permit it…won’t produce that daily milk of “blabnesia” or rotten egg.

Take two deep breaths and call me in the morning.  Doctor’s orders.  “Ah salaam ah lei  koom.”

Help Me Break the Ice!!

This is a quick cartoon of what it feels like every time I cross paths with an attractive woman.  I can’t even begin to calmly and concisely explain what all goes through my head when I run into someone I might like to know better but am too FROZEN to say anything.  And, I am really tired of just walking away with a whisper.  But, without something better than HI or a crappy “pick up line” I refuse to use, I choke.

So, please, anyone reading this, help me break the ice.
